Uses for Foam

Polyurethane Foams are primarily used as Insulation or R-Value for structures. They are highly effective at addressing most of the common energy consuming deficiencies found in Commercial and Residential structures. Although initially much more expensive than traditional insulation, the proper use of Polyurethane Foams can dramatically reduce HVAC equipment requirements and monthly operating costs resulting in very aggressive ROI (Return on Investments) or payback. The proper use of Polyurethane Foams can also dramatically improve IAQ (Indoor Air Quality), improve structural integrity as well as contribute to sound attenuation efforts. If you want the best available performing, durable and versatile insulation, Polyurethane Foams are certainly “tops” on the list. We have used various “Brands” of Open-Cell and Closed-Cell Foams made by BASF, Bayer, Demilec, Icynene, Healthy Seal, NCFI, Gaco, Apex, UCSC and others.

What is Spray Insulation?

“Spray Insulation” is a broad term we use to include all other sprayed-in-place products like Cellulose and Fiberglass. Sprayed-in-place products are used both in Commercial and Residential for both thermal and sound control. Commercial applications generally include Wall-Spray (Wall Cavities) and Spray-On (open areas like ceilings/crawlspace /walls/ under parking garages/etc.). Residential applications generally include Wall-Spray (Wall Cavities) and Loose-fill (Attic Floor Insulation). We can use these products for New, Existing and Remodel projects. We have used a variety of products from Applegate, ThermoCon, International Cellulose, Monoglass, Certainteed, Johns Manville, Fiberlite Technologies, and others.

Foam Coatings

We use various Coatings (Intumescent – Polyurea – Elastomeric) for Commercial, Industrial and Residential applications. Intumescent Coatings are used in fire protection for the components of structures. Polyurea Coatings vary in design and purpose, but are used where extreme performance and durability are critical (i.e. secondary containment, substrate protection, waterproofing, tank lining, pond lining, roofing, etc.). Elastomeric Coatings are principally used in roofing applications where water protection and solar impact are critical factors. We have used polyureas and coatings manufactured by SPI, Sherwin Williams ControlTech, Bayer, and others.
